Our History

Founded in 1994 by Me Normand Therrien and Me Jean-Luc Couture, our firm opened its first establishment in Saint-Hyacinthe. Throughout the years, the partners of the firm have developed a client base from various business sectors, including clients from the agro-food industry.

In 1999, Me François Montfils joined the firm as a partner. The years that followed saw great advancement for the firm. Its offices were expanded on more than one occasion and its team kept growning. In 2009, Me Jean-Philippe Turgeon became a partner of the firm.

The very next year, the partners decided to further expand the firm: they chose Brossard for its second location. The Brossard office opened its doors on Lapinière Boulevard – on the outskirts of the Quartier Dix30 – in April 2011.

Since December 1st 2011, Therrien Couture’s team has expanded once again with the addition of two new partners namely Me Éric Lazure and Me Yannick Crack as well as their whole team, bringing forth the opening of a third location in Sherbrooke.

At present, Therrien Couture’s team can count on more than 60 persons in three locations, including more than 30 lawyers who remain wholeheartedly committed to serve our clients in keeping with our values and mission statement.
